The waterfall on Olszanka

The waterfall on Olszanka Uherce Mineralne is a village located in Bieszczady, lately known mainly from the brewery, that was established few years ago. There are also historic defensive manor in ruin and a church to visit, however this village also offers many charming but not very popular natural monuments. The waterfall on the Olszanka river is the place worth to see.

You can reach this place by heading to the church in the direction to the prison, and turning left behind the building in which the shop and pub are placed. The cart track will guide you directly to the river. This attraction is not very popular among tourists, so you can contemplate the beauty of local nature in calm. This place is really worth seeing – the waterfall is quite wide, very picturesque, and there is a rock fragment at the foot of the waterfall, being the magnificent example of Carpathian flysch.

If visiting this place with children you must be very careful – the river below the waterfall is very shallow, you can wade boldly, but near the barrage the depth of water may exceed 2 meters, so you better be careful.
